Porodnaya-2 Station of Borodino Transportation Directorate (AO SUEK-Krasnoyarsk) has been put into operation after switching to MPC-I computer-based interlocking system featuring cascaded and redundant UKC interlocking controllers, as well as hot standby capability. Now the system controls 54 points and 94 light signals, displaying all information on current train traffic situation to the centralized traffic control center.
Occupancy of the sections is controlled by ESSO axle counting system, totaling to 135 counting posts. Modernization also included integration with the equipment located on Ugolnaya-2 Station. A level-crossing on a line between Porodnaya-2 and Ugolnaya-2 is equipped with MAPS level-crossing control system without lunar white light signal.
Porodnaya-2 Station is located in the close vicinity to Borodino coal mine, providing loading of the ore and further transfer to Ugolnaya-2 Station.
Borodino Transportation Directorate provides services for Borodino coal mine in Krasnoyarsk Territory. The coal is mined from Kansk-Achinsk coal basin, one of the largest in Russia. In 2016 a millionth ton of coal was loaded there, making it the only coal mine to achieve such result in Russia.
