AO Apatit: Verhnyaya and Vud’yavr Stations now under digital control

A remote control for Vud’yavr station has been introduced on Verknyaya Station (Kirov Branch of AO Apatit), as well as integration with the alarm for track servicemen has been made on both stationPreviously, MPC-I Computer-based interlocking system, ESSO-M Axle counting system and SGP-MS Uninterruptable power supply system have been into operation on Verknyaya Station. Our systems replaced an outdated relay interlocking with track circuits. 25 points, 40 light signals and 52 counting posts are now controlled by MPC-I interlocking. Moreover, MPB Semi-automatic block system was installed on the Vud’yavr – Verhnyaya line.

Trains, loaded with apatite-nepheline ore are passing through Vud’yavr Station from Yksporryok (Kirov and Rasvumchorr mines) and Koashva Station (Vostochnyi mine) to Verkhnyaya Station (ANOF-2 plant) and Vostochnaya Station (ANOF-3 plant). The ore is unloaded on Verhnyaya Station into crushers, shunting also takes place here. Vostochnaya Station is a main transport hub for delivering apatite ore to ANOF-3 plant.

Back in 2016, our company installed MKM Mobile equipment container on Vud’yavr Station featuring MPC-I interlocking system, which allowed for increased throughput of the Vud’yavr – Vostochnaya line. In May 2024, our specialists have replaced an outdated control panel with ARM ETs (you can read more about by clicking here).

AO Apatit is a mining enterprise, located in the town of Kirovsk, Murmansk Region. Cooperation between AO Apatit and Promelectronica goes back a long way – the very first implementation of our systems at facilities of AO Apatit took place in 2002. Back then we introduced MPC-I interlocking system to Pogruzochnaya-1 Station. The most interesting and peculiar project is remote control over Rasvumchorr Station, which is located in the tunnel of Rusvumchorr mine.
