JSC R&D Company Promelectronica attends PRO//Motion,Expo 2025

JSC R&D Company Promelectronica has shown solutions for railway infrastructure during the 1520 PRO//Motion.Expo 2025 international railway fair in Saint Petersburg. PRO//Motion.Expo is a place that promotes communication between the railway market actors, development of the railway industry of the country and reinforcement of international cooperation.

Promelectronica traditionally takes part in the event and exhibits its own flagship systems and devices, as well as demonstrates new developments. The expo of the fair was dedicated to digital technologies, engineering, construction and design in railway industry, smart transportation systems, safety, production of rolling stock, maintenance and many other topics.

Digitalization of train traffic control on stations and open track has become a central topic for the exposition of Promelectronica. The company has demonstrated MPC-I Computer-based interlocking system, ABTC-I Automatic block system featuring voice-frequency track circuits. MPC-I can be fitted to any type of stations and can be used to modernize already existing systems or during brand new construction. ARM DSP Station Master displayed diagnostic systems and heat maps, allowing an operator to monitor the state of the equipment and provide maintenance as per actual state of equipment. A system for remote point control, as well as SPPR Decision-making aid system were exhibited as well. These systems increase efficiency and reduce the number of mistakes made by an operator. For the first time our company exhibited ARM ETs – a solution for partial modernization of outdated relay systems, featuring remote control over small stations and monitoring of braking shoes. The solution has already proven its efficiency on industrial and mainline railway lines, such as Chelyabinsk-Yuzhniy Station of South Ural Railway, Vostochnaya Station of Kirov Branch of AO Apatity, Syryevaya Station of AO OEMK of A.A. Ugarov, as well as Plovdiv Station of Bulgarian Railway.

The section of the exhibition dedicated to ABTC-I automatic block system with audio-frequency track circuits also included operating cabinet with equipment.

The visitors had a chance to see the equipment itself, as well as ARM ShN ABTC-I Terminal, which demonstrated various interfaces for different configurations of audio-frequency track circuits. The solution caught the interest of operating departments, as it allowed to visually assessing simplicity and convenience of maintenance and wide diagnostics of the system.

ABTC-I Automatic block system is already functioning at open track of Far Eastern, Sverdlovsk and South Ural Railways and recommended itself as reliable and convenient system.

The axle counting section of the booth has DKU-M, DKT, SKM and DKL wheel sensors. DKT Wheel sensor is already used by automatic marshalling system of OAO Russian Railways, whereas DKL is used for wheel detection in logistics and train car weighing. The wheel sensors were connected to a brand new USKS-M controller, which transmits data over Ethernet without any intermediate equipment. The visitor in real time could see the readings of speed, axle count, movement direction and temperature of axles, as well as a virtual track section. A new version of KKD made from stainless steel for operation in aggressive environments has been demonstrated at the booth as well.

One of the most discussed sections of the booth were the ones dedicated to train chocking and derailing control systems. The particular interest was to KTS AZS Rolling stock chocking system, which is designed to ensure reliable and safe train chocking, as well as BUKS No-contact derailment control device that prevents unauthorized train movement. BUKS also features DKS Derailment monitoring sensors, BOS Signal processing unit and BI Interfacing unit. UMDV Smart monitoring system, featuring capability to connect additional sensors for diagnostics has also been demonstrated at the booth. MAPS and MAPS-M Level-crossing protection systems, SGP-MS Uninterruptable power supply system, DK-I Dispatcher control system, ESSO-ILS Axle counting system and MPB Electronic semi-automatic block system were also displayed at the expo. The guests had an opportunity to see the equipment, talk with engineers and negotiate future cooperation, leading to sharing of experience and development of new ideas.

PRO//Motion.Expo-2025 international rail fair has shown that modern solutions developed by R&D Company Promelectronica are not only technologies but also a whole concept aimed at increasing safety, efficiency and reliability of railway transport. During the fair, we had many meetings with our partners, discussions of new projects and got feedback from the operators. Such an exchange of experience and opinions is a critical contribution to development of new railway transportation technologies.
